This artwork is inspired by the Qur’an verse spoken by Prophet Ayyub (Job), peace be upon him: “Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.” [Surah Al-Anbiya 21:83] This verse represents the humble supplication made by Prophet Ayyub when he was tested by God with severe illness and the loss of his wealth and family. Despite his hardship, he remained patient and turned to God with humility and deep trust. In the artwork, the calligraphic phrase flows across a vibrant abstract background filled with rich layers of red, orange, blue, and turquoise. A geometric calligraphic structure appears near the top of the composition, adding architectural balance to the dynamic movement of the Arabic letterforms.
