In this deeply meditative piece, Mohamed Aslam interlaces sacred text and abstract form into a contemplative surface of devotion. The Basmalah (“In the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful”) anchors the composition, radiating outward in rhythmic calligraphy that evokes the eternal breath of faith. The interplay of textures — sand, pigment, and gold — gives tangible depth to spiritual meaning, transforming divine mercy into visual vibration. 
The calligraphy and geometry recall Islamic architectural ornamentation, while the restrained palette of beige, turquoise, and bronze suggests serenity, balance, and transcendence.
