In this contemplative painting, Julie Ann Lear portrays a tranquil skyline of domes and a single minaret reflected against the water’s edge — an abstracted vision inspired by the architecture of the UAE. The warm ochre and muted golds merge with delicate blues, creating a sense of serenity and sacred stillness. The composition captures the meeting of land, faith, and light, dissolving form into atmosphere. Part of Lear’s final body of work in Abu Dhabi, the piece radiates the timeless dialogue between desert and spirit, memory and horizon.

From the artist’s final period, created during her last year in Abu Dhabi. Julie Ann Lear absorbed the light, architecture, and rhythm of the UAE, translating them into a warm abstract language that meditates on time, memory, and belonging.
