In “Doors of Heritage,” Maher paints a tender homage to traditional Gulf architecture — where every doorway holds the memory of craftsmanship, community, and faith. The composition presents three intricately carved wooden doors framed by coral-stone walls, latticed windows, and subtle motifs of Emirati heritage.

The earthy palette of umber, ochre, and ivory conveys warmth and familiarity, while light rests softly on the surfaces, revealing the textures of time. Khreis transforms the quiet façade of an old home into a portrait of cultural endurance — a dialogue between the seen and the remembered, between silence and story.
