Late Mohamed Awad continues his profound dialogue between material and meaning. The composition vibrates with layers of ochre, sienna, and burnt umber — tones of soil and endurance — interspersed with the sharp geometry of blue and orange, a brief pulse of transcendence within the density of matter. Awad’s brushwork here is physical, almost sculptural: the paint becomes clay, pigment becomes memory.
