Late Mohamed Awad continues his profound dialogue between material and meaning. The composition vibrates with layers of ochre, sienna, and burnt umber — tones of soil and endurance — interspersed with the sharp geometry of blue and orange, a brief pulse of transcendence within the density of matter. Awad’s brushwork here is physical, almost sculptural: the paint becomes clay, pigment becomes memory. The central form, abstract yet suggestive, feels like a vessel carved from time — a symbol of the human soul grounded in the earth yet reaching toward light. Part of his final Echoes of Silence cycle, this work embodies the artist’s lifelong quest for the sacred within the ordinary. It is a vision of humility and power, where color, texture, and silence merge into one meditative voice.
