This artwork is inspired by the Qur’an verse from Surah Ash-Sharh (94:5–6): “For indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” The verse carries a profound message of hope and reassurance, reminding us that hardship is never permanent and that relief always accompanies difficulty. Ibn Al-Qayyim beautifully explained that the word hardship appears twice in the definite form—indicating a single hardship—while ease appears twice in the indefinite form, suggesting multiple forms of ease. Thus, he concluded: “One hardship will never overcome two eases.” The artwork merges spiritual Qur’an meaning with contemporary visual expression, creating a piece that embodies hope, resilience, and divine reassurance.
